Love Yourself?You Should

Lana
Shouldn't all of us love ourselves and love who we are as women in society? Many women nationwide have issues with their looks, their bodies and their lives in general.Hundreds of women on a daily basis go through great lengths to make themselves representable to others. They see themselves as not good enough, not pretty enough and not thin enough.

We see it all the time on magazine covers and weight loss commercials,as if it is being shoved down our throats to look a certain way.Sure all of us as women want to have that sex appeal, that attraction factor, but at what cost are we willing to pay?and just how are far are we willing to go?

Just recently the issue of Anorexia has skyrocketed, models are weighing in at anywhere from 80 to 100 pounds looking like walking skeletons.Anorexia claimed the life this past year of 4 models leading ultimately to raised eyebrows. In September Madrid ,Spain, a place well known for it's many high fashion run way shows banned models that were under a certain weight. Are we going to see this more often? One can only hope.

The actual average size for women in America is a size 12 but,to many they see that as unacceptable.Whether you are a size 4 or 14 I think you should be confidant with who you are.Imagine this,Hollywood starlet and Playboy model Marilyn Monroe a size 12,what would she have looked like being smaller?would she have still wowed the audiences and general public with her charisma and captivation? How about the risque' notorious actress Mae West, the way she used her body to flirt and tease, also a size 12.So is being around that size a bad thing or have we just been pushed into thinking it is?

Not only is it a weight issue but many women are tanning more, having their nails done, going to spas, having facials, getting plastic surgery, having botox injections but,do they even hear or pay attention to the side effects?or do they even care? And is the average 1 in 100 possibly that something could go wrong not a factor? I personally do not believe that being beautiful should entail health hazards.

We should never have to compromise who we are or lose our luster of being women because we feel that we should fit some certain mold, that's just insane. If everyone was meant to look the same way and be the same that would be a boring way to live. We all are individuals and should not be put down by society,by our families,by our friends,by our spouses or anyone else.We all change through time so, why not keep your body healthy and keep yourself happy and let your natural beauty on the outside match your beauty on the inside.
