When people fall in love, the world turns pink. They also tend to live in a big bubble, for the rest of us don't really exist anymore. There is only an "us" for them, a total exclusion of the world we all live in. But that bubble usually bursts pretty soon. Why? Because, after this first glow, they realize they are two people, instead of one. With different perspectives on things. Raised differently. All sorts of issues which are bound to surface sooner or later.

The problems for men are totally different from women. That's why I separate them for the moment.

Men: "She wants to go shopping all the time".
Yes, guys, girls love spending money, especially on themselves. Just pick a girl who has a very good job, so she can pay for her own stuff but also pays for yours.

Men: "Just by the time I sit down and want to watch Sports with a beer in my hand, she wants to talk."
For women this might be the only time you are relaxed and focused on something, so this might be a good time to talk about her problems; just don't make the mistake thinking she wants to talk about your problems.

Men: "But she talks so much, about things that don't interest me at all; if I'm not busy with Sports, my mind is on how attractive she is, so she distracts me."
She already knows how attractive she is. And she knows what's on your mind. Talking is very important to women. So pretend you're terribly interested, look her in the eye and say "I'm all here for you". That way she'll get it out of her system quickly and you are off the hook. Don't forget to nod now and then.

Men: "Although I walk right beside her, why does she mind that I look at other women? It's in my nature. You know, the Hunter-thing."
No, women don't like that at all. You should only look at her. Once you have a girl, you can forget the Hunter-instinct. The hunting is done.

Men: "I feel that she is "grooming me".
Yes, that's in a woman's nature. Women can't take a man and just leave him the way he is, whatever it is that she perceives that is "wrong" with you has to be changed. Whether you want it or not. Just nod and ignore it. You cannot be changed.

Women: "He never wants to stay at home and talk to me"
No, he wants to show you off to his friends. This should be taken as a compliment. And if he doesn't want to talk to you, perhaps one of his friends will. Make sure he sees it, and next time he'll be more than ready to discuss anything you want.

Women:'Why doesn't he want to buy new clothes? I've seen that t-shirt a hundred times."
Old t-shirts have their place. Don't throw it out but buy him 6 others and hide the old one for now.That way he can get used to them.When the other 6 are really old, the other old one will look new and you can give it back to him.

Women: "When we have an argument, why doesn't he admit that I am always right?"
This is a pride-issue with men. They know you're right, but they won't admit it. Don't argue longer than necessary, the longer the relationship lasts, the more he'll understand that. And of course there's a small chance that you are not always right. Best to admit it then, he'll be ever so relieved and peace reigns in your relationship once more.

Women: "He hardly buys me presents".
Men hate shopping, so it's best to start a relationship without expecting too many presents. It's better to buy your own; that way you'll get what you really wanted.It's better to propose to go out for dinner together, because men love food and that way you'll keep him happy as well.
