Low Cost Surgery Available for Pets - Burleson, TX

The Texas Coalition for Animal Protection (TCAP) is offering reduced operations for cats and dogs through a new surgery location, according to Pam Asturias of Feral Friends.

These services will be provided to pet owners in the south Fort Worth, Burleson, Cleburne, and Hillsboro, TX areas.

"The Burleson Low Cost Spay and Neuter Program will be located at 344 Southwest Wilshire Boulevard, Suite E," said Asturias. "Citizens who wish to schedule an appointment or who desire additional information about this new community program should contact TCAP or visit their website at texasforthem.org."

The Coalition is a 501(c)(3) organization that was formed to serve as a resource for Texas animal shelters and animal welfare groups, according to research.

In unrelated pet news, Compassionate Pug Rescue is asking for donations to help creatures such as Chiclet, an almost three-year-old fawn that was spayed and surrendered by her female owner. Chiclet had respiratory problems.

To make a donation, access compassionatepugrescue.com online.

You can also contribute to pet causes by giving toward the American Humane's efforts like the massive, multistate dogfighting ring that was broken up in July by federal agents involving 500 pit bulls. The raid, which took place following an 18-month investigation, was the largest in U.S. history, according to The Petition Site.

While the worst is behind them, the dogs' struggles are not yet over.

Donations are also needed for Missing Pet Partnership's (MPP) "Tagger Program," one of the lost dog techniques that the organization plans to test in Seattle, WA. A car tagged with window markers will be used among those recruited in a large network of Seattle-area animal lovers who would be willing to tag their cars.

Or you can make a contribution to support MPP by sending a check or money order to Missing Pet Partnership, Box 3085, Federal Way, WA 98063. The website is missingpetpartnership.org and Paypal donations are accepted as well.
