Low Impact Living and WWOOFing

David Robertson
Low impact living is becoming more and more important as we realize the effect us humans are having upon our planet, so learning valuable organic farming skills is something anyone can do in a positive step to low impact living. Ever wanted to learn how to live a more low impact lifestyle, maybe your planning on going traveling or just have some spare time, either way WWOOFing maybe the perfect option for you. WWOOF offers the opportunity to work in organic farms in exchange for food and accommodation. You get to learn ways of living organic lifestyles through hands on experience and get food and accommodation in return for your work. WWOOF have many farms and small holdings throughout the World on their database and charge a small fee to get the list!

There are many eco-communities that hold work placements for food and boarding to the eager traveler. These eco-communities are great ways to see how green it is possible to live, some living in yurts or tee-pees, living off the grid and almost totally off the land.
