Deviled Eggs are so easy to make, and they take so little time. Most American households have eggs in their refrigerator so this appetizer is simple. Just pull out the eggs and boil them for twenty minutes on a low setting. I recommend the jumbo eggs because you will get more bang for you buck, and it will give you a nice full plate of food to put out as an appetizer before the grilling is done. Take them out and let them cool. Then crack the shell and peel them off. Just take a serrated knife and cut right through the middle, giving you two perfect halves. Take the yokes out, and start dumping them into medium size mixing bowl. Mash the yolks with a fork, or if you have a masher that you use for your potatoes that works just fine too. Add three tablespoons of mayonnaise, and mix it well. Make sure you use whatever brand you like because all of them taste a little different. You will want to add about three tablespoons of the Ranch Dip mix. Use the powder base as it will make it easier to mix. Put about a half a tablespoon of Dijon Mustard and mix it all in the bowl very well. I prefer to use a hand -held mixer as I can control the speed a little bit better, and will make the mixture smoother with very little or no clumps. You can then pipe the mixture or spoon it into the egg halves, and dash each one with some paprika for a little extra flavor. The eggs are ready to serve! It's just that easy.
The second appetizer for Labor Day I recommend, is Bagel Dip. This one is so easy you just won't believe it. I know a lot of people who keep cream cheese handy but if not , it's also fairly cheap to get as well. You will want to grab a jar of Kraft Old English cheese. Then, make sure you grab a bag of your favorite bagels to cut up or you can get a bag of bagel chips. Either tastes great. Soften the cream cheese by putting the bar on a small microwave safe plate and heat it up for sixty seconds. It should be pretty soft. Then, spoon the Old English cheese into a bowl. Dump the soft cream cheese into the same bowl. Take a hand-held mixer and mix well at a low speed. Mix until soft, then take your bagel chips and dip away! These are sure to please your guests, and they take so little time, and taste so great. Enjoy!
