Every Creature Counts: Every Creature Counts is one organization offering low-cost spay and neuter services to residents in Colorado. Spay surgeries for cats cost $25 while neuter surgeries for cats cost $20. Dog spay and neuter service fees are based upon the dog's weight. It costs $40 to get a dog spayed or neutered weighing up to 50 pounds, $50 for dogs weighing 51-65 pounds, $60 for dogs weighing 66-80 pounds, $70 for those weighing 81-95 pounds, and $80 for those weighing 95-110 pounds.
If you would like to make an appointment for your pet to be fixed, you can call Every Creature Counts' appointment line Monday through Friday from 9AM to 1PM at 303-637-9136. All pets must arrive between 7-7:30AM and be picked up between 3-4:30PM on the day of surgery. All cats must arrive in separate carriers or secure containers and all dogs are required to arrive on a leash. Additionally, it should be noted that all services must be paid for in cash.

Denver Dumb Friends League: The Denver Dumb Friends League is another organization in Colorado offering low-cost spay and neuter surgeries. These surgeries are offered through the organization's Meow Mobile and The Lulu Mobile, which travel to underserved communities in the Denver area. The Meow Mobile provides spay and neuter surgeries and vaccinations for cats while The Lulu Mobile provides these services for both cats and dogs.
To qualify for the services, you need to have a limited or fixed income. The surgery clinics operate on a first-come, first-served basis, with up to 25 surgeries being performed a day for dogs and up to 40 surgeries being performed a day for cats. Feline spay or neuter surgeries through these special clinics cost $25 and canine spay or neuter costs $50. Cat and dog clinics are held on separate days to keep the animals' stress to a minimum.

Hamlett Spay & Neuter Clinic: The Hamlett Spay & Neuter Clinic is another place offering low-cost spay and neuter surgeries for pets. Surgery costs are determined by weight for dogs. Specifically, dogs who weigh 3-40 pounds can get spayed for $63, 41-55 pounds for $65, 56-70 pounds for $71, 71-80 pounds for $77, 81-90 pounds for $93, and 91 pounds and over for $106. Canines who weigh 3-40 pounds can get neutered for $49, 41-55 pounds for $53, 56-70 pounds for $57, 71-80 pounds for $64, 81-90 pounds for $77, and 91 pounds and over for $93. Female cats may be spayed for $51 and male felines may be neutered for $38.
It is important to note that the Hamlett Spay & Neuter Clinic requires your pet to be at least four months old or to weigh at least 30 pounds before the clinic will perform the surgery. Additionally, your pets must be current on his or her vaccinations and you are required to bring documentation of your pet's vaccinations to the clinic on the day of the surgery. There may be additional fees for spays and neuters on dogs or cats who are in heat, pregnant, or obese. Planned Pethood Plus: Planned Pethood Plus is another place in Colorado where you can get low-cost spay and neuter services for your pet. A cat can be spayed for $50 and neutered for $40. Dogs 69 pounds and under can be spayed for $70 and neutered for $60. There is an additional $10 per 10 pounds to spay and neuter dogs weighing more than 69 pounds.
