Hey Brooklynites,

The Downtown Brooklyn Rezoning and Development Plan is giving Downtown a makeover, there's no doubt about that. Here's a recap of some of the recent developments if you'd like to check them out:

--- BAM Fisher Building broke ground
---The Sheraton Brooklyn New York Hotel opened
---Free WiFi to Willoughby Plaza, Columbus Park, and Albee Square (may not be in all areas yet)
---The Flatbush Avenue Streetscape Project
---KiDesign Brooklyn
---Downtown Brooklyn Art Map
---Willoughby Windows
---Double Take at the Metro Tech Center
---City Walls
---The Fulton Streetscape Project
---The Fulton Mall Improvement Associations' small business and storefront windows program
---Launch of the Streetscape Vision Plan

Willoughby Windows street-level storefront art gallery runs through October. And the NU Hotel on 85 Smith Street is featuring local artists' works in its lobby.

The rezoning and development plan intends to make Downtown Brooklyn an arts and cultural as well as a business hub. You might want to get pics of what was, what is, and what will be.
