It was a memorable meet for the team, as they not only won the meet, but scored a season high for the year, breaking the previous season high posted the previous week over Oregon State. The Tigers also finished with a 6-0 record at home for the season.
The Tigers won the meet with a final score of 197.150. The Iowa Hawkeyes posted a 195.400, which was also a season high for the Hawkeyes.
LSU competed with all four seniors in the competition Friday night, who are also All-Americans. The seniors honored in their last performance at home during the regular season were Sabrina Franceschelli, Summer Hubbard, Susan Jackson, and Kayla Rogers.
Highlights for the seniors included a ninth all-around title win for Susan Jackson. Jackson's final score for the meet was 39.525. She was also named the SEC co-gymnast of the week for last week's performance against sixth ranked Oregon State. Jackson has been named a gymnast of the week for a total of three times in her collegiate career.
Kayla Rogers competed on both the vault and floor exercise and tied her career highs in both performances. Rogers scored a 9.875 on vault and a 9.90 on the floor exercise.
Summer Hubbard competed on the balance beam, floor exercise and uneven bars. Hubbard turned in marks of 9.875 on the balance beam and floor exercise and a 9.825 on the bars.
Sabrina Franceschelli turned in a very consistent score on the three events she competed in with a 9.85 on the vault, bars and floor exercise.
The Tigers will be on the road next week as they travel to Shreveport, LA to take on Centenary.
