A nineteen year old student of Louisiana State University was arrested after he told a classmate he was planning a 'terrorist attack' against Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton. Hillary Clinton is scheduled to speak today Saturday, May 5th, 2007 at the National Conference of Black Mayors in Baton Rouge, LA.

The student, Richard Wargo, of Shreveport, Louisiana, was arrested Friday, May 4th, 2007 and is being held on $1,000,000 bond. He is facing charges of terrorizing, communicating false information of planned arson, and possession of drugs and paraphernalia, according to officials.

Ricky Adams, LSU Police Chief said Richard Wargo asked another student to join him in a plan to commit arson, a "terrorist act" that he described as a "national event" involving Senator Hillary Clinton.

Wargo's plans were reported to the university officials after having a second conversation the with the student he was apparently trying to recruit. The comments made by Wargo indicated that he planned a violent attack on Senator Hillary Clinton. The police report states that the Wargo approached the classmate asking him if he was interested in committing arson, and said it would be a 'national event'. The classmate asked if it was political. Wargo shook his and and said "Hillary Clinton". During the conversation Wargo said "You know this is only going to make her more popular" referring to the arson attack on her headquarters. To which the classmate replied "True, but have you ever heard of a dead president?" Wargo was planning on carrying out the attack when Senator Clinton visited Baton Rouge for the primary.

When Wargo was arrested last night, police officers found documents in his dormitory room that backed up the accusations made by the student who contacted officials. The items seized were a Laptop, a cellphone, a case containing various cd roms, documents, pills and marijuana., as well as a few other similar items.
