Lug Nap Sac Travel Blanket Review

Robert Cole
For camping, traveling or just living during the winter months, it's important to get cozy and stay warm. Carrying a cumbersome blanket and pillow around is fine, but Lug Nap Sac Travel Blanket combines a blanket and a pillow together into an easy to carry zipper bag.

Now I'm all about luxury and ease, but at $28 dollars, the Lug Nap Sac Pillow and blanket combo is a bit much. Although the idea is great, it doesn't necessarily merit a slot on Opera's November O List. This product comes with one miniature blanket made of comfortable fabric and one miniature pillow that looks like it came from a coach class airplane. Ironically enough, the Lug Nap Sac Travel Blanket is advertised as being a great choice for people doing a lot of airplane traveling this year.

I can see the advertisements now, demonstrating how all that huss and fuss that used to go along with sleep can be solved by a zipper pillowcase that can hold both the pillow- and you've guessed it- the blanket too. But this kind of luxury, if you want to call it that, is not necessary and certainly not worth 30 bucks out of my wallet. I for one have things like bills, food and survival to worry about- otherwise I'd be on the next flight to Boston snuggly and comfy with my Lug Nap Sac Travel Blanket.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves here. The Lug Nap Sack Pillow case also comes with a pocket to store your cell phone or iPod! It might just be me, but I don't want to hear a ring tone or techno beat while I'm trying to pass out. I'm sure it's awesome for the kids and their sleep overs, but chances are one of the three items is going to be lost until finally there is just a pillow or a blanket left, or maybe just the handy tote bag, and you're 30 dollars broker.

None the less the Lug Nap Sack Travel Blanket may be a seen as a valuable resource for those on the go investor types always caught in transit from a plane to a car, and actually, wealthy people on the go are the only types I can imagine using this product. That's not to say it's not a decent buy, but you'd never catch me dead with a Lug Nap Sac Travel Blanket on or off a plane, a train, a boat or a goat.

I write what they pay me to write.

This review would have been more useful if you'd offered a cheaper (even homemade) alternative. Instead, all I got is that you're cheap and old. Nothing wrong with either, but that doesn't offer much regarding the actual product :-/

Hey, I pay for my own home, don't make a ton of money and did spring for the Nap Sac when it first came out. I found it for less than the $28 advertised on the Lug site (new, I might add), and it's well worth the money. I don't just use it on the airplane either. I bring it to movie theaters that are notoriously cold, on camping trips in the spring and summer, and to other outings where I may need a blanket, pillow or both. I'm pretty picky when it comes to nifty, creative items, so when I got this one I was pretty well pleased with how it's worked out.
