Lullaby
The wind moans - a hollow sound -
flutters my curtains,
kicks an empty can across the ground.
Chimes ring their melodious tunes,
cat's bells on collars send dunes of music,
and the refrigerator whispers bass
beneath the midnight symphony;
an orchestra of cat's bells
and chimes
and striking clocks
that mark the time,
and lulls me
into peaceful slumber.
