LuLu My Cuddling Kitty Cat by FurReal Friends

We purchased Lulu My Cuddling Kitty Cat for our four year old daughter during the Christmas season. One reason we decided this would be the perfect gift is because she is somewhat hyper and real cats typically do not let her near them. One day when she was rejected by our orange cat named Squirt she cried not understanding why she was rejected. Our proposed solution was to buy her a toy cat that looked a lot like Squirt and LuLu My Cuddling Kitty Cat was our answer.

For the first month, she enjoyed the LuLu cat but was more enthused by her new Baby Alive: Real Surprises Baby doll. I have written about our experiences with the doll. The food needed was so expensive she runs out quickly so our daughter moves on to other toys. LuLu was her second favorite toy until she grew bored.

LuLu My Cuddling Kitty Cat is a neat little toy. If you wave your hand in front of her eyes, she will meow or start to lick herself like a real cat. When we bought her at Wal-Mart for $50.00, I made sure to find one that was very responsive. Moms have such wonderful ideas sometimes, don't they? I spent the month before Christmas trying to keep our daughter from hearing this cat meow every time we walked by the hall closet.

The batteries to our daughter's LuLu My Cuddling Kitty Cat have run down three times since December 25. I have never seen a more sensitive toy. Many times I have been several rooms away and I hear "meow" and grinding noise as she licks herself. The only possible explanation for this cat setting itself off so easily is it being a little too sensitive or our house being haunted. Both kids have claimed our house is haunted but that is a completely different story.

Now LuLu tends to sit in a corner watching over our family with her unblinking eyes as if to say, "Hey, I'm here play with me." Our daughter has lost interest however. LuLu My Cuddling Kitty Cat misses one thing that takes the place of a real cat-she does not move outside of cleaning herself. Now I hear more often, "mommy let the kitty cats inside" and our daughter proceeds to chase them in hopes of being able to pet and play with them. I catch LuLu My Cuddling Kitty Cat out of the corner of my eye often after our daughter moves it. I find myself wondering, "Is that Squirt?" only to turn around and see it is LuLu.
