Cellulite is most often found on the thighs, stomach and buttocks. Its lumpy appearance sometimes resembles cottage cheese. In actuality cellulite is a collection of fat that pushes against the connective tissue beneath a person's skin causing the dimpling or puckering on the outer skin. Whether or not a person has cellulite is dependent on many factors, including age, genetics, amount of fat on the body, and the thickness of the skin.
Many treatments such as liposuction and injectables have been touted for the reduction of cellulite. Unfortunately these treatments usually only provide a temporary respite from the appearance of cellulite.
There is a new treatment for cellulite called Lumologie. It is a non-invasive procedure that promises to diminish the appearance of cellulite, stimulate collagen production, aid in body contouring, stimulate blood circulation, and help to eliminate toxins. All of these things are supposed to result in slimmer legs, smoother skin, and a reshaped silhouette.
This detoxifying vacuum therapy is purported to be relaxing and invigorating. The process of Lumologie creates a partial vacuum on the surface of the skin and then pulls the skin up between two mobile rollers, which adapt to the fold of the skin. This skin is then rolled and massaged which increases lymphatic drainage.
A company specializing in vacuum therapy created the Lumologie therapy over 30 years ago in France. The process is patented. It was designed for use in beauty treatments such as cellulite, lymphatic draining, and face care, medical procedures like rheumatology, traumatology, and reflex therapies, and sports medicine therapies including muscular relaxation. This special process also pleases clients because it is far less messy than the traditional body wraps that have been used in cellulite treatment.
Testimonials from doctors and satisfied customers attest to the success of the therapy. Those who have used the process report losing up to two clothing sizes within six sessions, toxin reduction, the reduction of fatty deposits, and being relaxed and rejuvenated after a treatment.
The recommended course of Lumologie treatments is 16 sessions over an 8-week period. The process is currently available mostly in Australia and New Zealand, where it has taken those countries by storm.
It remains to be seen if Lumologie will come to the United States, but if it becomes an accepted treatment here in the U.S. there is no doubt that women everywhere will be clamoring to experience the phenomenal results that women in other countries are reporting.
