Lunch Box Notes

Sticking a note in your child's lunch box or back pack is a great self esteem booster and a great way to let your child know that even though you are apart he or she is still in your thoughts through out the day. These are also great for children who may have some separation anxiety at the beginning of the school year or for children who are just beginning school for the first time.

Put a little extra dash of love into these notes by creating special paper to write the note on. I have several ideas on how to make extra special paper listed below. Mix them up and use the different methods from time to time.

1. Use clip art and make your own stationary. Use things your child likes such as his or her favorite characters, sports teams, colors, etc. You could also used seasonal themed clip art such as apples and back to school clip art for the beginning of the school year.

2. Use stickers to decorate the paper. Cut plain computer paper (colored or white) in half or into fourths and then decorate each piece with stickers that your child would like.

3. You can also find notes ready to print on the net. Here's a few websites I found that have great printable notes/stationary. Depending on your child's age some of these may not be appropriate.

A. Blue's Clues Lunchbox Notes - Cute printable notes featuring Blue and friends. All you have to do is print and cut them a part!

B. Apple Note - This is a cute printable note in the shape of an apple with a cheesy yet cute poem.

C. Cute printable notes - More cute printable notes that you simply print and then cut a part!

D. Even more cute printable notes

4. You could also cut paper into shapes depending on the seasons for a different kind of note.

Worried that you don't have enough free time to do this each day? Prepare all the notes on Sunday night and you'll be good to go all week!
