Lush Bath Bombs: The Happy Pill?

Lush Bath Bomb: The Happy Pill-Not so happy ending.

Pop a Happy Pill (into your tub) and relax in the calm and frothy fizz. We've combined the fragrance from two of our favourite shower gels onto either side of this pill; gloriously grapefruity Happy Hippy on the yellow side and mind-clearing bergamot and mandarin (from the Olive Branch) on the orange side. This natural pick-me-up will wash your cares away, uplifting your spirits so you'll feel much more cheerful when you get out of the tub than when you first got in.

I bought a Bath bomb because I loved the shape and have long been a user of Bath bombs and salts.

I am sorry to say that not only will I not be going back to Lush buy more Bath Bombs, but I am seriously disappointed by this product.

Having had high expectations from Lush lovers all over the globe I drew a bath and plunked in the bath bomb.

Contrary to the other Lush Bath products I have tried I could not smell anything pleasant or otherwise in this bath.

The Bath Bomb "Happy Pill" fizzed away, but left no lasting scent. Normally Citrus scents are gentle enough to open my sinuses but not over power my sense of smell, but I smelled nothing.

Further annoying about this Lush Bath Bomb was when I saw the water turn a shade of dirty dish water and a scum formed on top.

Being a trooper and wanting to be thorough as always I perservered and got in and soaked for the mandated 20 minutes. After soaking in the Lush "The Happy Pill" Bath Bomb My skin felt tight, dry, and had a chalky tinge to it.

I tried to shave (as I always do in the bath) and found my skin was too dried out and had no slip. Upon the timer ringing I had my fiance enter the bathroom and take a sniff.

He said the Lush Bath Bomb had a "pixie stick" smell that gave him an instant heaache and the water looked as if I had bathed a homeless person in it.

Upon exiting the bath and draining it I was further chagrined to find the Lush "Happy Pill" bath bomb had left a ring around my tub!

After an additional 20 minutes spent scrubbing and rinsing out my tub I was dry enough to check out the state of my skin.

My skin had a powdery residue on it. that I was unable to wipe off with a towel. Finally annoyed, I jumped into the shower and hosed down with plain soap and water and slathed on shea butter.

Sitting down for further recollection, I recall the salesperson at Lush telling me to be cautious because the Lush Bath Bombs she had used had stained her tub because they were so heavily dyed.

I am unsure what others whom have used the Lush Bath Bombs experiences have been. However, after this experience I would be hard pressed to purchase this again with prices starting at $5.00.

For a product that left me itchy and feeling dirter than when I entered the bath I am not a convert and will not be purchasing the Lush "The Happy Pill" Bath Bomb nor any other again.
