Lush Bath Products

A Relaxing Indulgence

Lush is a store that is well known worldwide, and is becoming even more well known. Many celebrities shop at Lush. But why? Because Lush provides innovative, inexpensive, luxurious bath products. Here is a review of a few of their products.

Bath bombs- These are products which fizz when you put them in water due to the citric acid within them. They provide a nice, effervescent effect. Lush makes their bath bombs very strongly scented, and some people may be put off by how strong the scent is. I personally think it's very nice because it leaves my bathroom smelling wonderful for a week after I use one. I, personally, am very fond of their "Chelsea Garden" bath bomb. The scent is one of their best. Make sure to place the bath bomb inside of an old stocking or some pantyhose. This will keep the flower petals from clogging up the drain.

Bubble bath bars- These are an innovative product that you can find at Lush. They are solid bubble bath. I have never been fond of bubble bath solutions because it always leaves such a mess after pouring. These take care of that problem. They allow you to just toss a solid bar into your bath and it breaks up and creates thousands of luxurious bubbles. I have tried "The Comforter" and I was very pleased with the amount of bubbles I got from it. Many people break it into 4 pieces and still have a lot of bubbles, but mine had some exposure to water, which decreased its ability to work correctly. This was not Lush's fault, and I am very impressed that it made as many bubbles as it did. It left my skin very smooth, and was a nice experience.

Solid shampoo- This is one of the most innovative products that Lush makes. It is exactly how it sounds, a bar that looks like soap, but is gentle enough for your hair. Lush suggests that if you take it on vacation, you can wash your hair, body, and even your clothing with the same bar. One of the best ones is their "Ultimate Shine Shampoo Bar". This bar provided so much shine that I have no intention of ever using a liquid shampoo again. It has a few glitter sparkles, although this is not what makes the hair so shiny. The shine comes from spicy elemi and ylang ylang oils. There is no need to use a conditioner with this shampoo. This bar is solid and hard enough that I would feel safe dropping it into my suitcase. Furthermore, it dries out quickly without leaving part of the bar soft and squishy. This is the only shampoo that should ever be used while traveling.

Face masks- Lush makes some fantastic facial masks to help clean your skin. One of their best facial scrubs is "Ocean Salt". This has large Ocean salt crystals, and it provides a nice scrub to the skin without being too harsh. The scent is amazing. It has grapefruit and lime extracts, which together with the Ocean salts make it seem like you are scrubbing your face with a well-blended margarita. Simply rub this into your face, massage, and rinse it off. Because of the salt, it exfoliates your skin and brings out a fresh, healthy glow to your facial skin.

If you are lucky enough to live near a Lush store, make sure you visit their store events. They offer great deals and free products during these events, and many stores have them once a week. While there, try one of their fresh cosmetics. These are not available online because they have an expiration date, but they are definitely a treat for your skin.
