There are five Lutheran Churches in Lubbock, TX. Three of those are members of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) and the other two are members of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Redeemer Lutheran Church, located at 2221 Avenue W, was organized in 1932 when Lubbock was a town of 22,000 people. Since then, Redeemer has grown matured with the city.

Redeemer follows the winter worship schedule from August 20th-May 28th. Services during this time for Sunday Worship begin at 8am with Sunday School following at 9:15am. A second Sunday Worship Service begins at 10:30am. Services are led by Pastor Jay Beyer.

Redeemer Lutheran Church also has an Early Childhood Program. The program is an activity oriented program for children ages six months to five years. The program is offered two full days per week. Weekly themes, Bible stories, Chapel, art/creative activities, supervised free play and music are part of the developmentally appropriate setting that encourages young children to explore God's world.

HOPE LUTHERAN CHURCH & SCHOOL-LCMS

Hope Lutheran Church & School, located at 5700 98th Street, offers a Pastoral Ministry, Children's Ministry, Oasis (Youth Ministry), Hope University (Adult Bible Study) and Hope School.

Sunday Worship Services are at 8:15am & 10:45am. Bible Study is at 9:30am. Services are led by Pastor Tim Radkey.

Hope Lutheran School meets in the chapel each Wednesday. Parents and visitors are invited to participate. A lesson is given followed by singing and prayer.
