The restaurant is set up to look like a cat house or bordello from the past. It starts right from the outside of the restaurant which has windows which show different silhouettes of women getting dressed. There is even a special table inside, which we were seated at, has a lady who is behind a two way mirror which allows people to see into the make up dressing area. No it's not a peep show, the lady is fully dressed, applies her make up as if getting ready. It was a very interesting sight. This is in the true Las Vegas style. There is a stair case which leads up to the the restaurant. The old cat houses had stair cases which lead to you know where.
The lighting is dim and the room is rich with color. There are some tables which are surrounded by large booths. The special table we were at was in the back corner. The corner booth added to the intimate dining area by far. You felt like you had your own little private area of the restaurant. I had noticed a large mirror located to the right of the booth seating. Not really giving it to much thought at first. We were half way through our meal when the mirror lit up from the other side. This is when a very elegant lady appeared and sat down to apply her make up. We asked our server about it, as it was a little different when she first appeared. She let us know that she could not see us, but we could see her. She said, many people have waved and wondered why she did not do anything.
The waitress was fantastic. The waitress wears a very attractive attire which lends itself to the attraction of the CatHouse. Everything is done right, in a very tasteful manner. The waitress' skills in hospitality and the restaurants fine food was excellent. She knew when to come and ask, if everything was to our liking and when to allow us to enjoy each other and the private intimate dinning experience of the Cathouse. The server was able to suggest which meals were not too filling, but just enough for two to share. When it comes right down to it, the staff at the CatHouse know how to please people.
The food is just as wonderful. The servings are a family style. Now, we ordered a selected course which was presented as a special. There is a selection of different styles or course types of meals. The chef has prepared a wonderful full course meal for you to select from start to finish. Right down to a sticky little dish for desert that everyone can love and enjoy. The chef of the restaurant has done a wonderful job with presentation and quality of food and portion.
When it comes right down to it, you will not be shocked when you get the bill either. The pricing for a restaurant of this level is by far very reasonable. If you are in Vegas and want to go to a fun and intimate place, you need to go to the CatHouse. There is a bar or lounge area away from the dining area. It was not open at the time we were there, but the hostess allowed us to see it. It also looked like it would be a great place to stop for a late night bite to eat and a drink. So, don't forget to book a reservation at the CatHouse on next trip to Las Vegas.
