If you are already enrolled our you are planning to be among the 28,000 on campus students living the in the Morgantown, West Virginia area this coming year while you are attending West Virginia University or you are moving out here for a career, I have a few brand new townhomes that you really should consider renting when you move here. While I was out apartment hunting for myself, I came across these places and thought they would be a wonderful opportunity for larger families or roommates to share.

Our tour of townhomes starts with Gray Cliff Townhomes. This set of homes is located about four miles from the Downtown Campus. They are three bedroom two and a half baths on two floors with a two car garage bottom floor. This place is just awesome! Granite counters, plush carpet, dual balconies on each floor, over 1,600 square feet of space per unit. This community also has a pool, club house, and fitness center. This place rents for $1,200 per month plus utilities.

A few minutes along the same road I came across another set of Luxury Townhomes, this place was called Lewis Landing Townhomes. This place is also 1,600 square feet in total space. The difference being this place only has two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms with the lower level garage. The amenities here are almost identical to the first set of townhomes and these rents for only $1,000 per month plus utilities.

The final stop on my tour of Luxury Townhomes near West Virginia University is also the largest of the group. These grand-daddy style homes feature three bedrooms and three full bathrooms, a huge two car garage, a beautiful back deck accessible from each of the living area floors, a gas fireplace, and off street parking. This place feels more like a home then a rental when you are inside it. You may never leave Morgantown after a year in this place. The monthly rental rate for this place is not listed anywhere that I could see but I am guessing based on the other sets this would rent around $1500 - $1800 a month.

I am a senior level student finishing my bachelor's degree this spring. When I have started the Master's degree program I want the best motivating place and the most peaceful place for my studies and my kids to play. When my current lease is up, I will be upgrading myself to one of these places (probably the Gray Cliff with the two kids) to finish out my educational career. Best of luck in your rental home searches!
