Lynette is Caught Hiding Under Tom’s Bed on ‘Desperate Housewives’

Many people believe that the 13^th is a day when bad luck occurs. However, Tom and Lynette Scavo never believed in bad luck. In fact, they got married on the 13^th. Lynette's mother warned her that this was a bad idea and bad luck would come to their marriage by getting married on this particular day. Year after year, Tom and Lynette joked about her mother's warning, as they celebrated their wedding anniversary. However, this year, Lynette isn't joking. This year, Tom and Lynette are separated. This year, Tom has a new girlfriend and Lynette is alone.

Lynette didn't even realize it was her anniversary until she heard what the date was. Suddenly, she becomes sad. She realizes she is alone and Tom is with his beautiful, successful girlfriend. Then she gets some advice from a client. The client tells her that she almost lost her husband once. However, she refused to give up on him or the marriage. She told Lynette that she changed her hairstyle and the way she dressed. She also got her husband back in the process.

Lynette thought about the client's words. Then a big, beautiful bouquet of flowers arrived for her. They were from Tom and the card read: "Happy Anniversary, Love Always, Tom." The client's words echoed in her head, again. She decided to give it a try.

She changed her hair. She put on a pretty dress. She bought Tom his favorite scotch, a ritual that she did every anniversary. Then she headed to his apartment.

She used her daughter's key to get inside Tom's apartment. She went to his bedroom to leave the bottle of scotch on his bedside table. Then she heard Tom and his new girlfriend enter the apartment. Not knowing what to do, she panicked and hid underneath the bed.

Tom and his girlfriend entered the bedroom. They were flirting and then they fell onto the bed. They were going to make love. Finally, Lynette hollered out and came out from her hiding place.

Tom's girlfriend left. She told him about the flowers and showed him the scotch she was going to leave for him. Tom explained that he forgot about the flowers. They were on standing order, every year since the one year he forgot to buy flowers for her on their anniversary. He promised to cancel the order the next day. A look of hurt passed across her face. She started to leave. He called back after her and told her that he liked her hair. She smiled faintly.
