Mabinogi: a Free MMO-RPG Game

Have you ever wanted to play an MMO RPG but you have not been able to decide on which one to play? Well I have a suggestion for you. Mabinogi is a MMO RPG that is played in third person perspective that you can play online.

It is a free to play game, but there are special items, and a vip service that may be purchased. Payments can go through pay pal, mobile phone, cards sold at various retailers, or credit card.

There are currently four servers; Mari, Ruairi, Alexina, and Tarlach. Game play focuses around a main storyline, which is split up into sections called "Generations." Each generation has a unique plot, which feeds into the overall storyline.

Currently in the North American version of Mabinogi there are fifteen generations. Twelve of which are entirely original, the other three are based on the plays of William Shakespeare.

Players may select from three playable races Human, Elf, or Giant. The loophole here is that if you select Human, you eventually get a character card each for the other two races, free of charge.

Class based systems are ignored in this game. Starting players select from four destines currently, with a fifth destiny is coming soon. They are Warrior, Ranger, Mage, and Alchemist. The Merchant destiny has not yet been released to the North American servers.

Destinies, unlike classes, do not lock the skills a player can learn. For example, A Warrior can learn any mage skill they so desire, or alchemy or ranger skill. Destinies add training bonus to the skills related to it, so a warrior would get boosted training on all combat skills. Rangers get boosted Archery skill, Mages are magic, Alchemists get alchemy, and the upcoming Merchant destiny gets boosted Life skills.

Weapons in the game range from daggers, big two handed swords, bows, and devasting blunt weapons. There are even some unexpected weapons such as a killer lute.

Mabinogi was developed by Devcat Studios, and published by Nexon Co. Ltd. Nexon was founded in South Korea but its headquarters are currently located in Japan. There are offices in South Korea, Luxembourg Germany, and the United States as well.
