COLOR
The thing that first attracted me to this gloss was the color. In the tube, it appears to be a very bright red pink with some sparkle/shimmer that looks like it could be pink or red. It is a striking color, I must confess it is almost scary in the tube; however, it actually applies pretty sheer. It gives a nice tint to my lips and does not smother them in glitter, for a casual wear lip gloss, this is a plus. After it is applied, it gives a bright pink-berry tint, at least on my lips it does. I really like this color because it can be worn lightly for daytime, or it can be layered for evening or going out.
FORMULA
MAC is very clever, in the way they name their glosses. They have a different variety of glosses (Lipglass, Lustreglass, Plushglass, Dazzleglass, etc.) and before I swapped for this, I had no clue what the difference was between a Plushglass and a Lipglass. However, after I applied it for the first time, I noticed my small lips looking more plump and full. Not crazy huge, but a nice change from my normal small mouth. After I noticed my lips' fullness, I got on my laptop and looked up the difference between a Lipglass and a Plushglass; this is when I discovered Plushglass is so aptly named because it is a plumping gloss. This is the first plumping gloss that I have used that has worked for me, and I didn't even notice it, there was no sting or tingle whatsoever! Plushglass is just as sticky as Lipglass, but I don't find it hard to work with. It lasted on my lips for a few hours, nothing great, but better than a Lipglass. I must say, I love the formula of Plushglass!
FUNCTIONALITY
There is not much to say about functionality- it is a gloss, you grab it and go!
SMELL
Plushglass, like all other MAC lip products, has the classic vanilla scent. I really like it because it smells good, but it is subtle. However, I cannot say it tastes like vanilla, because it doesn't!
PRICE
Plushglass is more expensive than Lipglass or Lustreglass at $18 a tube, however, if you are looking to make your lips look at little plumper, this is definitely worth the money.
PACKAGING
Plushglass is in the same size tube as a Lipglass; however, what makes it different is the cap. It is matte black, textured like NARS packaging. The only other difference is the annotation under the MAC symbol, stating that it is a Plushglass.
FINAL OPINIONS
This gloss is a gorgeous color with a gorgeous formula, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a little color and a little increase in size. This color was limited edition, but if you can find it, it is fabulous. You can buy Plushglass at maccosmetics.com, MAC counters, MAC stores, and wherever else you can find MAC cosmetics. I think everyone should at least try this amazing formula. They also have some great neutral colors, if you just want the little plumping action. I adore these, and I know you will too!
