Well, I never tried a cream foundation before because I am young and also acne-prone. You all know that cream foundation or anything cream will kill acne-prone skin. But, maccosmetics.com explained that Studio Tech is "good on all skin types" since it's "dermatologist tested, ophthalmologist tested, non-acnegenic" and it also said that it's "safe for contact lens wearers." Having a flaky face due to harsh winter, I wanted to try a foundation that is not drying, so in most parts, this seemed like a perfect product for me. Well, was it? It definitely excelled at some parts, but not completely.
The totally chic compact case was, for me, love at first sight. First of all, the case was so much fatter and larger than the regular compacts that I thought there would be so much in there, but boy, was I wrong. It has the same amount as every other ones, if not less. 1/5 of that case was the foundation and most of the space was either empty or just the space for the sponge.
Big disappointment at the first, but I was pleased with the coverage it gave me. I have little imperfections, or just little acne and freckles, and it covered completely with just a few simple strokes using the sponge. And the biggest perks of this is that my skin looked flawless in the pictures! But, not as flawless and I would like to be in real life. In real life, it looked a bit fake and obvious that I was wearing a makeup.
So, the Studio Tech by MAC might not be so perfect for me, but it's easy to carry around, easy to use, offers great coverage, and it's been tested a lot, so safe, is what I should say. Well, I guess since they didn't put hypo-allergenic, I should have expected this, but it clogged pores and I got some acne from it too- but nothing major. Also, MAC offers great range of colors that it'll be easy for you to find the perfect match for you. So, if you're looking to try a cream foundation that's user-friendly all around, just so you know, this is one of the best out there and it's not overly expensive.
