Macaulay Culkin's Father Writes About the Home Alone Star as Well as a Book About Michael Jackson

Quick, Don't Miss These Free Books While They Are Still Online

Jan Corn
Just when I think life can't get any stranger, along comes something like the online publication of Kit Culkin's confessions, entitled I Don't Think So. At the site, located at kitculkin.com/public/ Kit Culkin has quite a collection of information, more than enough to fill the curiousity of trivia buffs as well as fans of Macaulay Culkin, Michael Jackson and the film, Home Alone.

Some of the oddities of this site include:

Information about the family history (including the fact that Macaulay Culkin was named for Thomas Babington Macaulay). His middle name is Carson, after Kit Carson, the western frontiersman.

The family was so poor at one time that they had to sleep in the family's Mustang (the car, not a horse). They must have been a much smaller family then as they eventually grew to quite a large one.

Also at the site is Kit's analysis of the family problems and a look at what caused his family to blow apart. If you want you can even print out the book in PDF format, although it'll run over a hundred pages.

You can even check out a photo album, much of the photos featuring Kit in his early days of acting. But you'll find plenty of info on Macaulay Culkin as well, including an adorable photo of him on the "cover" of the book. Hmmm.....talk about using your kid's photo to draw in visitors and clicks!

But wait...there's more!

There are actually two more books you can browse through at the site, one featuring Michael Jackson, entitled Lost Boy. In this one, you can read actual court testimony of Macauley Culkin. The final book is a memoir of Kit Culkin's early days. This one is called Early Stages and is only 26 pages long.

For odd sites, this one certainly takes the cake!

I went to the Web site but could not find the books. I am very interested. Can anyone help me?

Usual information, yet still oddly interesting. Your article makes it all interesting enough to actually go to look in to.

I helped create this site and actually typed everything on it. I have known Kit for over 30 years and was present at times when one or another of his children would visit him. Since I come from a very loving family myself I was shocked at their conduct and dedicated a lot of my life to righting a great wrong done to this man. One point I would like to make and strongly...............when you have talented children who have the ability to generate millions upon millions of dollars.......and you are the one in the way of those many who wish to take control, you need to watch your back. Kit found his main job was not only negotiating all those deals that made them millionaires but in knowing who was good and who was not. He protected them from outsiders but was not watching his back with people close to the family. He discovered this too late. Where would these children be without their father ~~~~~~ their mom lived in North Dakota and worked on a road construction crew when she

Just one more thing. Help me understand. Why does so many of you consider this web site strange or odd?

  • Erik S. 2/11/2008

I was operating this web site for many years. Everything (graphic) on the web site including the book covers were made by me based on the photos and material that they provided me. I find it flattering that some people think this is generating money for them. It's not! Kit would be perfectly satisfied if only his family (including his kids) would read the web site. And we have strong indications that they do.
In many ways you can draw parallels between Kit Culkin and the old man Marley character (in Home Alone)....he could not talk to his family.

Actually almost nothing surprises me anymore when it comes to movie stars - or people for that matter! Nice job:)
