Mad Anthony's Beer and Ale in Elkhart, Indiana

Mad Anthony's in Fort Wayne, Indiana is a food lover's delight. If atmosphere is important to you, this is a must see place to enjoy. I am not a drinker. I used to be and I could say that it is a temptation, but it really isn't. The food is so good that I don't even think about drinking. If you love beer and ale you will really love Mad Anthony's Old State Ale House which serves hand-crafted ales & lagers with 8 varieties always on tap.

I personally love the atmosphere. As a child I went to the movies nearly every week at the movie theatre that has been renovated for Mad Anthony's. There is a mural on the wall where the movies used to be shown which includes many famous movie stars, from Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz to Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe.

If you love entertainment, you can come on Tuesday nights when you can participate or enjoy Karaoke night. Mad Anthony's is open seven days a week with a menu to delight any palate. If you love cajun cooking jou will want to try some of their specialties, such as fresh crawfish, or red beans and rice with mouth watering corn muffins.

If you don't find something that you like, you haven't tried their potato wedges, or the chipolte chicken quesa. If you are interested in the traditional dishes, there are always burgers and fries. I can't imagine that there wouldn't be something for everyone.

I love the unwraps. An unwrap is similar to a pizza with a very thin crust. My favorite is the Philly Beef with horseradish sauce on the side. Some of my friends prefer the spinach and artichoke cheese unwrap. There are many different types to choose from including a barbecue chicken that looks very tempting.

Mad Anthony's is well known for it's Chicago style pizza and on the opposite side of the scale they also offer veggie burgers for the vegetarian. If you are in the area you must visit Mad Anthony's.

You can also choose from daily soup and sandwich specials as well as potatoes prepared in numerous ways. I have not tried anything that I haven't liked. If you like salads, seafood or just about anything else you have come to the right place.

Mad Anthony's also offers carry-out as well as catering. You can't beat them for excellent dining and service.
It is a great place to have a party as well as just popping in for lunch or a dinner treat. This is one of my favorite places to go eat after our watercolor class on Wednesday afternoons.

I must add that for those who do drink, please make sure that you have a designated driver. For those who can drink successfully, more power to you, but if you can't please be responsible.
