Game Background
Mad Karate Man was meant to be reminiscent of the bonus stage in Street Fighter 2, where players were given the opportunity to smash a car to pieces. As an angry karate-wielding individual, take out the bankers that are walking past you in the street.
Gameplay
The objective of Mad Karate Man is to fight bankers to achieve as high a score as possible.
When you begin the game, you will be walking down the street automatically. A banker will then pass by. To grab the banker, just click on the screen. The more accurately you click, the more time you will have later to hit the banker. If you do not click, the virtual character will grab the banker very late automatically. After grabbing the banker, you will have the chance to hit the banker multiple times by simply clicking with your mouse. The more accurately you grabbed the banker, the more time you will have in this stage of the game.
Now, you will have a chance to angle your kick on the banker. A meter will appear with a moving arrow. Click to stop the arrow on the angle you wish to make. Once you have kicked the banker, you will have the chance to click on buttons on the left hand side to add additional moves.
After taking out a banker, you will be shown a report as well as a upgrade section. In the report section, you will see how far and how high you were able to kick the banker. You will also see the kill count and belt multiplier. In addition, you can see your score, your high score, and the number of mad points that you have accrued.
The mad points can be used in the Upgrades section. In the Upgrades section, you can purchase upgrades using mad points. Improve almost any aspect of the game to help you improve your score.
Click next round after you have scanned over your performance report and have made the appropriate upgrades to continue taking out bankers.
Game Review
Mad Karate Man is a fun little action simulation that is great for people short on time. Because each round does not last very long, a short break can be used up with a few good rounds of Mad Karate Man. The many upgrades and continuous gameplay are good for those looking for a little more action.
Mad Karate Man scores a 9/10 for its high replay and entertainment value.
