Bridget and Don are an upper middle class couple that seem to be living the American dream, but Don loses his job and they are buried in debt; on the verge of losing their home. What is a woman to do? Bridget decides to get a job at the Federal Reserve Bank as a maintenance worker and comes up with the crazy notion of robbing the bank. This is a feat she can't begin to accomplish on her own, so she needs a couple of co-conspirators.
She decides on Nina - money shredder(the last stop for old money), a single mother raising two young sons struggling to make ends meet. The second woman is Jackie - cart puller(takes the carts of money to the shredding room)a young free spirit who walks around wearing headphones and dancing all day long. Nina is a hard egg to crack at first, because she knows if they are caught her sons will be taken away from her. Jackie on the other hand is all for it and doesn't show a moments hesitation.
Together they come up with a fool proof plan to rob the bank, I don't want to say how they do it because it would totally ruin the movie for you. Needless to say they manage to pull it off quite a few times without being detected. As usual in a case like this the individuals involved tend to get greedy and a little too relaxed which leads to getting caught.
When the ladies are on screen together they truly put me in the mind of a female version of the three stooges because they are so hilarious. I never knew that any of these ladies could be so funny. When I first saw the trailer for the movie I must admit that the premise seemed very promising, but I didn't think the three of them in a comedy would work. I was totally wrong, this movie is a must see!

Post a CommentDoesn't this movie remind you of another movie from the 70's with Jessica Lange, Jane Curtain, Susan St. James (Kate & Allie together before "Kate & Aliie)...I think it was called "How to Beat the High Cost of Living".
I thought this movie was real real poppin', the sceme was almost foolproof, they was really gettin' that money!
I wanted to see this, thanks for the review!
It certainly looks like an All-Star cast. Of course these daysI have a hard time separating Katie Holmes' acting and her "unique" relationship with Tom Cruise.
Before finishing the first paragraph, I could tell this was going to be my kind of fun movie. Thanks for another excellent review.
This was a great movie !
