Designed in 1938 by famous architect Frank Lloyd Wright, Monona Terrace was not built until 1997. Today, it is a popular location to hold conventions and conferences, as well as weddings. Located right on the beautiful Lake Monona, Monona Terrace offers a scenic view from its expansive windows. Monona Terrace also provides a number of wedding services, including catering, floral arrangements and audiovisual services.
Olbrich Botanical Gardens
If you are looking for at outdoor Madison wedding venues, you should check out Olbrich Botanical Gardens. Voted one of the top ten most inspiring gardens in North America by Horticulture Magazine, Olbrich Gardens is home to sixteen stunning outdoor gardens and a tropical conservatory. At Olbrich Gardens, you'll have your choice of beautiful places to hold a wedding. Ceremony sites include the Atrium Garden, the Outdoor Event Garden and the Bolz Conservatory. Madison wedding receptions for up to 150 people can be held at the Evjue Commons.
Quivey's Grove
History buffs will fall in love with this Madison wedding venue which is listed on the National Register of Historical Places. Built in the 1800s, Quivey's Grove was named for the beautiful grove of black walnut trees, maples and elms. These trees set the perfect backdrop for an outdoor wedding. If you decide to have a wedding during the winter, you can use the historic Stone House Mansion, which features original hemlock floors, a beautifully carved walnut banister, wooden engravings and gorgeious stenciling created by local artists.
Grace Episcopal Church
Located in the heart of downtown Madison, Grace Episcopal Church serves as one of the more traditional Madison wedding venues. Built in 1839, Grace is the oldest church in all of Madison. The building features stunning Gothic architecture, Tiffany windows and an English courtyard garden that is perfect for taking outdoor photos. The church provides assistance in every step of the planning process in order to make each wedding a memorable experience. Generally, weddings are held on Saturday afternoons, but they can be arranged for other days of the week as well.
