Madonna to Open Fitness Clubs: 'Hard Candy Fitness' Set to Open in Mexico City

Well, she once said she wanted to rule the world and at this rate, she just might. Madonna is diversifying yet again and will be opening the first of a chain of high-end fitness clubs in Mexico City, next month, called Hard Candy Fitness.

Hard Candy, if you don't know, is the name of Madonna's last album and was a part of her last tour, what else, Sticky and Sweet.

According to Madonna's reps, dear Madge has been a "devotee of health and fitness" her entire life and has spent more than her fair share of time in fitness facilities and gyms around the world.

Because of her "been there done that" experience, Madonna is said to have an excellent idea and vision as to what goes into making a fitness club, "to die for."

Hard Candy Fitness will feature the latest in cardiovascular equipment, a juice-bar café, lavish locker rooms and of course classes - lots of them. Yoga, which Madonna has practiced for, um, forever, will also be a part of the classes along with capoeira, a Brazilian martial art which incorporates elements of music and dance. That should be right up Madonna's ally, I'm sure.

Say what you want about Madonna, but be sure and include one shrewd business woman. She has a notorious reputation for taking discipline to a new level. Shortly after his divorce from Madonna, even Guy Ritchie had to fess up to Madonna's unmatched work ethic when he said,

She's a manifester, if there ever was one," he says. "First-rate manifester. Madonna makes things happen. Put Madonna up against any twenty-three-year-old, she'll outwork them, outdance them, outperform them. The woman is broad."

Word, Guy.

Given that Madonna rarely fails at anything except relationships, chances are Hard Candy Fitness will rock the fitness world. I don't know about you, but, I can't wait.
