The first single off of Hard Candy is 4 Minutes. The track is a collaboration between Madonna, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Danja. All of these proven hit makers definitely make the track a hit. The song features a catchy beat and solid lyrics. The biggest positive of the song however, is that it keeps Madonna fresh and youthful.
On Beat Goes On, Madonna teams up with producer Pharrell Williams. The track features a verse from rap superstar Kanye West. The song is very solid and catchy. Kanye delivers a very solid verse as well.
Miles Away, once again is a collaboration between Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and Danja. The song is interesting sound wise and is unlike most of the other tracks on the album.
Candy Shop is more classic Pharrell Williams. The song is similar to his previous hits as a producer. The song is fairly solid and catchy.
Heartbeat is another collaboration between Pharrell and Madonna. The song is vintage Pharrell featuring a pulsating beat and solid lyrics. The song is very catchy and well put together.
Dance 2Night is a collaboration with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake. The song is very catchy and features a unique beat which will appeal to a vast audience.
Give It 2 Me is yet another Pharrell produced track. The song features a very distinctive beat and interesting vocal patterns. The song is not the strongest on the album but it is fairly solid.
Devil Wouldn't Recognize You teams Madonna once again with Timbaland, Justin Timberlake and Danja. The song is in the same style as Justin's Cry Me A River.
Pharrell and Madonna pair up again on She's Not Me. The song is different than what you would expect from this pairing. The song is interesting and once again well executed.
Incredible once again teams Madonna and Pharrell. The song is also different sounding than the rest of the album. The song is solid like most of the other material on the album.
Voices is a solid way to close off the album. The track was produced and written by the team of Madonna, Danja, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake. The song effectively sums up Hard Candy.
Overall on Hard Candy, Madonna once again reinvents herself. The material is fresh and new. Overall Hard Candy gets 8 out of 10. If you are a fan of Madonna make sure you pick up Hard Candy when it is available in stores on April 29th.
