Many years ago like most children I was fortunate enough to have experienced home video gaming when it first penetrated the market. As years passed my interest in video games slowly declined. I guess it was mainly because of the introduction of personal computers. I never really considered myself to be a big gamer so breaking away from home video games was not hard to do.

In December of 2009 after years away from the now more advance video gaming systems I was reintroduced. I promised myself that I would not be spending money on what I thought were overpriced video games. All of this changed this past August when I purchased a new video game called Mafia 2. Now by no means am I an expert on reviewing video games but I put so many hours into playing this game that my opinion can count for something. I must say that this game changed my perspective on home video games. I have always been huge fan of movies that were about organized crimes such as; Goodfellas, Godfather, and Casino to name a few. I played this game making sure that I paid close attention to details. Once I finished playing I could not wait until the next time I turned my game system on. This game is excellent! It is evident that lots of time and research was done in the development of this game. It has about 15 different stages that are not simple but require you be both patient and observant. If you are not some stages that have simple missions can take much longer to complete. It took me about 3 weeks to complete Mafia 2. Now like most games it is not without flaws but the few that it has does not take away from the integrity of the game. I would not recommend this game for children or anybody that is easily offended by profanity. The language used in the Mafia 2 video game is quite excessive. This game has made me eager to play video games again. I am really looking forward to a Mafia 3 video game.
