Mafia Wars Promotions - Limited Edition Loot Drops

Every now and then the Zynga has Mafia Wars promotions offering limited edition loot drops. Your Mafia Wars strategy needs to be adjusted to obtain all the items for the loot drops. As a teaser for the upcoming Mafia Wars Moscow expansion, users of the enormously popular Mafia Wars game on Facebook were given the opportunity to obtain up to eight limited edition items, most of them being weapons. It can be difficult to obtain them so having the right strategies to obtain all of them are important.

Just like they did right before the Cuba expansion and on certain holiday weekends, these items are given as "loot drops" when completing jobs or "bonus items" when you won a fight. These were very limited and for the time being are unavailable and can't be obtained by the ways mentioned above. The loot drops were once again included for a Labor Day weekend promotion. The theme of this one was "Tigers" and the items dropped were:

After the Tigers Promotion ended Zynga gave you the opportunity to use Godfather Points to buy "Tiger Crates" so you would have a chance to get the missing items. Is this going to be a trend? You never know.

One thing that is guaranteed is that there will be new limited edition loot drops in the future. There's already a Mafia Wars Asia and Mafia Wars Western U.S. expansion announced. If you spent a considerable amount of time trying to get all the items and came up short, I'll offer some suggestions.

Considering these are dropped at random intervals you have to rely on luck, how many jobs you can do and how many times you can attack someone how do you increase your chances of obtaining these items? An easy way to increase your chances is to just buy favor points, adjust your Mafia Wars strategies around that and use them to refill your energy. For those of us on a budget the best thing to do is do the job that requires the least amount of experience. Right now that would be the "Mugging" job on the "Street Thug" in tier in NY. Fighting is a bit unpredictable so if you do decide to buy favor points It seems obvious but the obvious alluded me at one point and it happens to all of us from time to time.
