Magic Performances on Video

Everyone loves a good magic trick. Some of these videos prove that even a bad magic trick can be fun to watch. There are many kinds of magic. There is stage magic, sleight-of- 10, mind reading tricks, comical magic and some tricks that just don't seem to fit any category.

My top 10 list of Magic performances includes professionals as well as amateurs. The criteria for being included in this list were simple. The bigger the wow or the bigger the laugh the higher rated. I was not strictly looking for the best magician or a high budget stage act; I just wanted to be entertained.

The online videos sharing sites such as Google video and YouTube has given the magic enthusiast a place to view magicians they would otherwise have never seen. The amateur magician also now has a venue for sharing his talent.

Set back, relax and prepare to be amazed. You might even have a good laugh or two watching these great performers do their stuff. Now in reverse order here are my top 10 Magic performances on YouTube.com

Number 10.

Michael Finley is one of the best comedic magicians anywhere. His timing and stage presence is unparalleled. If this guy doesn't put smile on your face are probably not watching. Okay so the tricks not that great I just had to put this in a number 10 because this guy always makes me laugh.

Number 9.

Cyril Takayama is a master cigarette sleight of hand magician. This guy's moves are smooth and eloquent. The dexterity he shows is impressive and entertaining.

Number 8.

This unknown magician performs shadow magic that I had never seen before. The expressions of the spectators are great and the trick definitely has that wow factor.

Number 7.

This is another comedic performance that should have a few good laughs in it for you. I especially like the part where he pulls the hat out of the rabbit. The silly dance routine is very slapstick and funny. Check these guys out and have a nice laugh.

Number 6.

This guy looks like an amateur but he does a very good job with this illusion. I could've rated this trick a little lower but for some reason I like the way he handles this prop.

Number 5.

Cyril Takayama again with a sensational card trick using an aquarium for a big finish. This guy reminds me of a Japanese David Blaine. The big finish of this illusion stuns his audience.

Number 4.

I can't get away from this guy. Cyril performs an illusion here that I've never seen anywhere else. This is one of those tricks that leaves you asking how. I don't know how he did it and I don't care I just love this trick. This is one of those tricks that happens really fast without much setup. The end result is breathtaking in my opinion.

Number 3.

here is Cris Angel preforming a levitation illusion that is typical Cris. He does this trick in the round and in a public place which makes it all the more amazing. We have all seen levitation tricks performed on stage but Cris takes it to an all new level here. His stage presence is that of a master magician.

Number 2.

Another Cris Angel performance in a public location. This illusion is bound to be dramatic for the spectators. Watch the expressions on the girls faces after Cris pulls off this terrific street magic. This trick is priceless and could easily be at the top of any top 10 list.

I really struggled selecting this video as my number one pick but if you've ever watched David Blaine performed his street magic you will love this parody. These guys are hysterical. I've watched this performance several times and it never fails to make me laugh. I don't know who these guys are and I don't care because they're just plain funny.
