Magic Pills

The Pill Gobbler

LarrWayne Po
My head is aching, help relieve the pain.
If you are not eating the proper foods,
there are pills to cause sinus drain.

My nose is running, help me stop the drain.
There are pills for that, too.
My lungs are congested.
The body coughs to help remove the phlegm.
I want another pill to stop the cough.
How many pills do you need?

-
I am sleepy, but don't nod all the way out.
Give me another pill, to sleep more still.
The glare hurts my eyes. Wear sun glasses.
No, I want another pill.
-
Is there another pill, that I can take?
Is your favorite song "Grumble and Whine"
or is it a song called "Gripe"?

I want more pills, I'm not yet soothed.
There are pills to alter your mood.
-
My brief case is not yet full.
I have room for more pills.
What more can the doctor give?
I want magic pills, all I can get,
to escape my unhappiness.
-
Money talks, and you have that.
The size of your stomach is your hold back.
Mister Pill Gobbler wants and wants.
Pills are his favorite chat.

LarrWayne, AKA Quack Jack of many trades. If the educated do not educate others, the long term pay back will be "We are surrounded by the uneducated and they want to rule over us". Politically incorrect poem...  View profile

I would rather go of natural causes, than to go down for the count with pills, a doctor guessed I needed.

Strong message in this poem! It seems that the simple alleviation of symptoms is preferred to the actual remedy of the source of discomfort and ailment. What a sad reality!
