MagicJack Review, Does Not Work for Everyone
MagicJack Does Not Tell Consumers the Whole Story.
The telephone number they assigned me with had the area code for my area but the prefix was in Emporia. I went ahead and set the number up and when I was finished tried to make a call. It would ring but you could not hear anyone speaking from either end. The same was true for calls coming into my home.
It had something to do with the area code and prefix not matching. There was nothing I could do about that situation because that is all magicJack allowed you to choose.
The connection speed also has a lot to do with it getting out strong enough signals to make calls. If you live in the country chances are you cannot use magicJack and you need to be in one of the main cities they support.
MagicJack needs to let consumers know their little secrets before people buy their product. No one wants to buy setup and then discover you cannot use the service. It is a waste of time and energy for something that will not work in certain localities.
The product is suppose to save on long distance and your telephone bill not cause you a headache trying to figure out how to use their product, only to discover it was not as stated in advertisements. I recommend to consumers to check with magicJack before buying to see if they support the area in which they live. Make sure the area code and prefix are ones that work together. Otherwise, you are wasting money and time.

Post a CommentI was given a magicjack, and it has not ever worked.The first call,I could barely hear them,and they could not hear me at all. After that,it never completed any calls I tried to make....Horrible product....

good to know. a friend of mine was trying to get me to buy it, and I live in the country, so that's a good thing I didn't buy it, they prob wouldn't work here~! nice one
