Magique LBS Wedges

Hi Quality at Half the Cost!

The Magique Golf LBS wedges not only look good, they play even better! Made for firm conditions, these classic wedges have the best of both worlds.

Cast from soft 304 stainless steel, the LBS wedges feature a forged feel at a cast price. The results are amazing and the amount of spin you can put on these soft wedges is perfect for shots around the green as well as from the fairway. Their teardrop design and high polished head will be the envy of your foursome when you pick up a set of these beauties!

Like the M-1 irons, they come stock with a True Temper Dynamic Gold S-300 shaft and Lamkin Crossline grip. I did not agree with the shaft selection here. You could get away with it in the 52*, but I like to see a softer shaft in the 56* and 60* wedges as they require a bit more feel and delicacy with the types of shots played with these lofts. If you decide to purchase a set, you may want to look into a Rifle Spinner wedge shaft or a Dynamic Gold S200 just to make them a little softer. Many shafts are available through Magique, but you can also take them into your local club pro or club maker for advice and service on these wedges.

I was able to spend a couple hours on the range with this set of wedges and really enjoyed using them. From full shots to the bunker, there was nothing I could not do with these clubs. I could hit them high, low, make them check up or roll out. Whatever I wanted to do they obeyed! The best feature in these wedges to me are that they do not chew up balls like the new "spin milled" wedges! These are classic, time tested designers with no gimmicks, bells or whistles. They were designed for the traditionalist who appreciated being able to work a golf club as well as who enjoys simplicity in golf club design.

Like all Magique Golf products, these are fully customizable for loft, lie, length, shaft and grips. You should give one a try if you can. They are better in my opinion than the old Cleveland 588 series! They are also very durable being cast. The grooves will stay sharper longer and if the time comes when they do wear down, a simple re-groove costs much less than that of a forged iron of the same quality and performance.

Give them a try, you will love them!
