Mai Tai Bar is a drinking haven in the popular bend of Rainbow Harbor in Long Beach, California. The site of this spirits consumption location is unmistakable, with its neon sign and lit tiki torches lining the outside. So what does Mai Tai Bar have to offer to everyone?

As its address alone suggests being at 97 Aquarium Way, Mai Tai bar is right next to water. In fact the body of water is huge, being the Pacific Ocean. It holds an interior and exterior, with the latter being an open air patio with a view of the harbor and the world famous Aquarium of the Pacific. The patio comes complete with Hawaiian like couches and chairs. This laid back theme is prevalent throughout the entire establishment. The feeling the second you walk in the door is one of leisure, comfort and most of all, a good time. They have no dress code to speak of other than basic casual, except maybe the beautiful and courteous waitresses taking your liquor orders. However at Mai Tai, it doesn't just stop with drinks.

The menu has any little side item that would go perfect with a Mai Tai: A cheeseburger for you American cuisine lovers, or the famous shrimp tacos if you are a Mexican food fan. If you prefer to go the lighter route for your stomach, there are salads ranging from spinach, cobb, and Caesar. What is truly interesting and fun is on their dessert menu they offer chocolate chip cookies with ice cold milk. The unique addition is a true testament to the relaxation vibe exuded from the staff and environment.

The actual interior, decked out in the aforementioned Hawaiian-like décor, is very dim and pleasant. The bar is in the center of the room, with lounge chairs on one end and couches on the other. There are even some tucked away seats for a group or party. The atmosphere goes from the floors to the ceiling, with even the waitresses wearing flowers behind their ears.

Simply put, you can also not find better music than the live bands that are featured at Mai Tai Bar. Having performances throughout the night, the loud beats from rock, to alternative to Jamaican are refreshing and make you feel like partying on the beach. Live acts can be found usually 6 out of the 7 nights of the week. Promotions are a constant here, with drink discounts and band giveaways every calendar month.

Overall, Mai Tai Bar is an energetic, enthusiastic night scene for all ages. Though predominantly young people attend, the older crowd is seen just as often and have just as much fun in the experience.
