Ray Hanania, a journalist, stand-up comedian and media personality suggests a Mail Bush Shoes campaign. Posting on MideastYouth.com, Hanania lauds the Iraqi journalist for a somewhat non-violent form of protest and in support he reports sending or mailing his shoes to Bush and indicates if you wish to protest that you write on the package "Shoe Protest" Campaign. The mailing address to send your shoes for the Mail Bush Shoes Campaign is The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC, 20500. Take a picture of yourself sending your shoes to the Mail Bush Shoes Campaign and post your picture on Facebook under "Mail Your Shoes to President Bush". Also don't miss Hanania's hilarious politic comic strip commentary "If the Shoe Fits, President Bush, Wear It".
Mail Bush Shoes Campaigns Can Stimulate the Economy
Erica Heller of the Huffington Post gives creedence to the idea in a post "Save the Economy, Throw Your Shoes at Bush". In a punchy editorial, Erica's kicky suggestion is to maul by Manolo and unlike the Bush Shoe video where the guy tried to ream Bush with a pair of Nikes, Heller's suggestion is to have ladies haul out those really dangerous killer heels. In the Bush Shoe Video, what would have happened if Bush had been Jimmy-Chooed? While the Huffington Post writer doesn't go so far as to actually suggest sending or mailing Bush shoes, she does put forward the idea that after throwing shoes at Bush, it would at least stimulate the retail sector with sales of soles to replace the shoes you set aside to send for the Mail Bush Shoes Campaign.
YouTube Mail Bush Shoes Campaigns
Some of the first viral political protest campaigns urging people to send or mail Bush shoes for Christmas are starting to appear on YouTube. Here are links to some of the first YouTube Mail Bush Shoes Campaigns. If the Shoe Hits! A Fantasy Wish with the White House mailing address and to make sure the mailing room gets the Mail Bush Shoes campaign to the right place they suggest addressing "GWB War Criminal". KrissPriss suggests that with all the after Christmas sales, ladies can clear out their cloests in political protest to make room for incoming new shoes in "Bush Gets Some Shoes". If frustrated by Bush, ClassVtony in his Mail Bush Shoes Campaign suggests people Mail Those Shoes Now. This is just the first I'm sure of many YouTube reactions to the Bush Shoe Video and just the tip of many Mail Bush Shoes Campaigns to come.
Alternative to Send / Mail Bush Shoes Campaigns - In Person & Virtual E-Mail or YouTube
You know how when celebrities pass away like Princess Diana, people laid flowers at Buckingham Palace. Perhaps in honor of Bush leaving office shortly, people could just start leaving their shoes like wreaths at the White House or on Capitol Hill. Fearing arrest, could you just step out of your shoes and walk away? If you don't want to risk arrest, you could just throw your shoes at your web cam or towards a Bush effigy or across the room and then just post it to YouTube. Regardless, comments are starting to appear throughout the web on blogs and comments on news articles to take part to send in your shoes as part of the Mail Bush Shoes campaigns. More Power to the People with the Power of the Post Office. It would make a great picture to see mountains of shoe boxes clogging the White House mail room.

Post a CommentI sent him a picture of pointy-toed, heavy-heeled cowboy boots, with a latter addressed to Cheney & Rove too.
I have about 50 pairs of shoes (used of course) that I will ship out for this activity. Great read here.
Thanks for the update. I'll add the link in the article about the Shoe Protest.

So you gonna send yours? :)
And a boot might get the message across more emphatically.
Quite funny, but as far as a mail in shoe campaign goes, I would not waste my shoes!
Good work!
I thought of doing something similar, but haven't figured out where to get 300 million shoes... and the postage!
Looks like ClassVtony in his Mail Bush Shoes video posting on YouTube wanted to look more polished so he deleted his original post and put this one up instead.
