What is laughing? Your body will respond to an occurence that brings forth happiness. According to some, you really don't even have to have a reason to laugh. Did you know that laughing contracts many muscles?

You said muscles? Yep, but we will get to that in a few.

They say that laughing is contagious. Well it is!

There was an actual epidemic of laughter that broke out in Kenya back in 1962. This happened when many students began laughing at a joke. Before long, the entire village did and no one could contain it. People even got sick from laughing too much.

One process is called the neurophysiological process, which directly involves the nervous system. Then we also have the physiological process, where various organs are involved in laughter. If I really wanted to be down right TECHNICAL, I would give the exact organs, right!??!

What in the world makes laughter therapeutic? Laughing has many health benefits. Laughing aids the immune system with the developement of T-cell (infection fighting cells). Laughing will help to reduce stress levels, as well. Laughing helps in the development of B-cells that aid in disease prevention .

Did you know that your body produces it's own painkiller?? I had my children naturally and I know FROM EXPERIENCE and it is simply a FACT.

Burning fat with laughing!?

Did you know that laughing is considered an aerobic?? According to Stanford University Professor, William Fry "laughter is internal jogging".

While laughing, you are contracting your muscles and causing them to tighten.

Laughing also helps with your respiratory system as well. Laughing is similar to deep breathing exercising but in a quicker sense. For those that are stricken with lung ailments, laughing will help by expanding the lungs. This is very similar with deep breathing.

If this didn't change your mind about laughing more, you can also try rowing a boat for about 10 minutes. Ok, well go ahead and laugh then, about 150-200 times, because you will burn just as much fat. That is no joke.

So what are you waiting for? Richard Simmons and Jim Carey?? Uh, never mind...
