For people who are constantly on the move the laptop is a handy device which allows complete independence and flexibility to do all types of things from chatting, doing homework to just browsing through the internet. The advancements in technology have made it possible for us to work even while we are on the go. Carrying the laptop to and fro involves proper protection which is enabled by the laptop bag. Some people are particular about packing the laptop carefully in the bag along with its various accessories like the laptop power cord. But usually most of us will just pick up the laptop power cord, wrap it around the AC adaptor and fling it inside the bag. What most of you don't know is that your HP laptop power cord gets crushed every time you do this. The wires present in the cord get frayed and in due course you will start having defective power supply problems with your laptop.

The most usual cause for power supply defect is seen when the laptop shuts off out of the blue or when it does not start even after switching the power on. Also you can sense something is wrong with the power when the system shuts off suddenly when you haven't even accidentally touched the power button. The reasons are few and far between ranging from overheated processor, dust clogged fan to an excessive load on the AC adaptor. But mostly the defect is due to frayed wires in the laptop power cord. This can be confirmed by looking at the LED light which either flashes or is off when the laptop power cord is plugged in. Most people make the mistake of twisting or looping the laptop power cord in an attempt to make it work but this only compounds the problem further. If you find that your HP laptop power cord is not working do not try to repair it yourself unless you are trained in computer repair or are an electrician. If you do without proper knowledge then you may end up damaging the laptop.

In case of laptop power cord repair the wise option is to replace it with a new one. Though there are lots of how to repair guides on the net to find a way out of your situation it can be highly risky. The laptop power supply works on electricity and if you slip up it may end in more harm. Another solution to this problem is taking the laptop to a repair shop but this is not advisable as it is a highly expensive choice. The affordable way is to find a new HP laptop power cord to replace it. Some even buy two in case one gets damaged. When you buy a new laptop power cord to replace your damaged one, do not just fling it in your bag or wrap it around the AC adaptor. See how it is packed while you get it. Pack it the same way each time you place it in your laptop bag. This way the laptop power cord will not get damaged.
