Can a Serious Collector Really Enjoy Affordable Brands?

Believe it or not, not all model car brands will cost you an arm and a leg. When people think of model cars, they think of expensive antiques. The Franklin Mint brand typically produces model cars that eventually become antiques. Unfortunately, they are very expensive at over one hundred dollars a piece. Model car brands such High Speed, Hot Wheels, and BBurago are some of the more affordable ones out in the market for collectors. Some of the most famous model cars were actually produced by BBurago. For example, the Lamborghini Cheetah 4x4 happens to one of the rarest BBurago model cars in the world. If you own this particular car, then you may want keep it for a while until it is worth a lot of money. For more information on these BBurago cars, please visit www.bburago.com. The site features some of the most modern cars available to collectors. BBurago's Ferrari's are some of the most sought after model cars by collectors. You can easily find them on www.ebay.com for very reasonable prices from six to thirty dollars.

Model cars from the Minichamps, Autoart, and Kyosho brands tend to be on the more expensive end. Of the three brands, Kyosho seems to produce the best and most detailed model cars. I've owned a few model cars from the Minichamps brand and all I can say is that they are not much different than the ones from the High Speed brand. I am not bashing Minichamps in any way, but it is important for collectors to realize that not all high end brands are worth the extra money. I once spent over twenty dollars for a 1/43 scale car produced by Minichamps in 2009, but it looked like it was only worth seven dollars. There are actually model cars of the same scale produced by Hot Wheels that have more detail than Minichamps as well. I intend on buying some these cars because I do not believe that Minichamps actually produce any type ford Mustangs of the 1/43 scale. As for collectors who are interested in customizing their own model cars, I recommend on purchasing the ones that are produced by the Maisto brand. If you visit www.youtube.com, you will see some of Maisto's model cars transformed in to police cars. This has been an interesting trend among collectors in recent years. If you are interested in checking out some of these specific cars, then go to www.maisto.com.
