Major Bands Who Have Recently Been Booed at Concerts

Being booed is part of the music business, but it usually happens when an act is just starting out. You'd figure that when fans are paying $50 a ticket to see your concert, they'd at least hold off on the catcalls, but sometimes musicians put on really disappointing performances (or the fans simply aren't there to see them).
Here's a look at a few recent examples of major musicians who were on the receiving end of some abuse from fans.

Amy Winehouse - Winehouse was once hailed as the new queen of soul, but she hasn't really been able to pull it together. With a string of bad concert appearances, Winehouse quietly dropped out of the headlines for a while as the "Rehab" singer went to, well, rehab.

Unfortunately, the fans weren't forgiving as Winehouse took to the stage in Belgrade on Saturday, June 19th. She reportedly mumbled through her songs, receiving atrocious reviews for the debacle.

Guns N' Roses -
The current Guns N' Roses lineup is known for extreme tardiness, which isn't too great for a rock and roll band. After starting a concert an hour late in Dublin in 2010, Axl Rose was greeted with a chorus of boos. He started chiding the audience like a scolding parent, saying "if you don't want to have fun, all you have to do is let us know."

Well, the Dubliners let him know--it's unlikely that we'll see a big GN'R show in that town anytime soon.

Nickelback -
Love them or hate them, Nickelback's one of the biggest bands in the world. Their popularity isn't universal, however. They're a big target for serious rock fans everywhere, but they were literally targets for rock fans when they played a metal festival in Portugal. The band stopped mid-song as the crowd booed and threw rocks, and they ended up leaving the stage rather than deal with the danger.

Justin Bieber
- Bieber's known for his legions of adoring fans, but every once in a while, a non-beBieber sneaks in. In this video, Bieber gets pegged in the head with a water bottle. He handles it like a professional, though, picking up the water bottle later in the concert and drinking it. Either he was having some fun at his own expense or the bottle gave him some short-term memory loss.
