Major Household Time Wasters

If you are a self-directed person with lots of goals you constantly work towards achieving your desires. You want to spend each and every minute of each and every day working on your goals. However, you often find that you have wasted a great proportion of your time doing things unrelated to achieving what you want. This can be very frustrating if you don't get yourself under control.

You are ready to go to bed and you think about all the things you have left undone. As you ponder over where all of your time has gone you think about the time you spent doing housework, the good movie you watched on television and the long conversations you spent in phone conversations. Calculating the time you notice that it runs into the hours for each day.

You know that if you want to achieve your goals you are going to have to get productive. Unfortunately you aren't really sure about how you are going to be able to be more productive while still getting your work done. There are a number of time-wasters that you might not be aware of. If you cut them out of your life you could stay focused on your business objectives.

Time Wasters:

1.) Television: The average person spends 2 hours a day watching television. You can either unplug your television completely or you can put a small one on your desk so you can listen to it while you are working.

2.) Cooking Supper: It takes time to cook supper and still stay focused on your home business. Most major grocery stores offer ready made healthy meals for under four dollars. You might as well pick up a few and put them in the microwave.

3.) Cleaning Your House: Like most people you have to spend considerable time cleaning your house and straightening things. You can hire a person to clean, get your kids to help, get dry cleaning, have somebody come over and mow your lawn. Wealthy people know where to spend their time the most productively.

4.) Phone Calls: Phone calls can be really distracting and really demanding. You are going have to learn how to talk and do your work at the same time. If you can't do this you will do well to let your calls go to voicemail and then call them back while commuting, jogging or at specific times in the evening.
