Make $175 in 3 Steps!

Early last Fall I earned $150 in Spa Rewards from a Walgreens Wyeth brand promotion. Since I had coupons, I actually spent nothing out of pocket; and due to some problems that Wyeth had with the spa companies, it eventually resulted in people getting a $150 prepaid Visa card. I had been anticipating its arrival for months and have had a list of things I've been wanting/needing to buy for quite some time. However, I thought, since this $150 was basically free, perhaps I can "invest" some of this money and have a bit more as a result. So I did. I won't be able to use it for a couple more months, but perhaps by then I will have prioritized the things we really need.

Here's how I'm doubling the money...and here's how you can, too!.

1. Open a new checking account with Bank of America:

Initial cost: $100 (you get to keep it in the new checking account)

You earn: $75

Total money you're keeping here: $175

How to do it: Go to this webpage for more details. This promotion is valid through June 8, 2008, and they will deposit the $75 within 90 days. You can sign up online or at a local branch. If you don't do it online, make sure you have the special promotion code (AOU260408). You can close the account after a specified time.

Catch: Only works if you don't already have an account with Bank of America.

2. Join Cash Crate and participate in various trial offers.

Initial Cost: $0-$50

You earn: $10-$200 (I've earned about $120, and only spent $40)

Total money made here: it's up to you, but reasonably speaking, you should be able to earn a net of $100 if you participate in several offers.

I am a member of Inbox Dollars and Cash Crate. I joined Inbox Dollars in October, but am only just now eligible to receive a check (you must make $30 before they'll send a check). However, with Cash Crate, you only need to earn $10 to receive a check! It is REALLY easy to get $10 a month, even if you just do the 2 surveys per month. I've read of people that spend just an hour per day and make an net of ~$900 per month. Not sure if that's for me, but it may be something you'd like to try...maybe to earn money for a special treat or gift. Plus, you get some great stuff for some of the offers you sign up with.
