Valentine's day cards are fun to make, especially when you add some creativity. Get your kids involved in helping you make these fun and fancy Valentine's day cards to send to their friends and family members. They will love to come up with more creative ideas to add to your fun 3D Valentine's day cards. Here is how to get started on your 3D Valentines.

SUPPLIES: First you will need to get various supplies to make your 3D Valentine's day cards with. Get some construction paper that is pink and red to make your cards out of. If you want to get fancy you could also get some think pink and red paper and a scrapbooking border cuter to add cute and festive edges to your cards with. Get a scrapbooking border cuter with hearts on it to make it really festive. Get some glue to secure your borders and items onto your cards. Get fun and simple items that can be added to your Valentine's day cards. Get ribbons or buttons that are heart shaped or pink and red to add to the Valentine's. Also get some pink or red thread and a needle to sew items onto your Valentine's if you would like. This would add a really cute look to your special 3D Valentine's day cards.

MAKE THE 3D VALENTINES: Once you have all of the items that you want to use on your Valentine's you can put them together. Simply cut the construction paper down to the size that you want your Valentines to be first. Then, decide if you want to add borders. If you add borders, simply use a scrapbooking edge or border cutter and cut some border strips out of thinner paper. Then you can glue the borders around the outside edges of your card. Don't worry about them looking too neat, homemade is never perfect, but always cute. Everyone will love your homemade cards, especially if your kids helped. Now you can add some things in the middle of the border on the front, like buttons or cut out paper hearts or ribbon tied in a bow with a little button sewed into the middle. The options are endless on how you can make your 3D Valentine's day cards look.

Once the fronts of your 3D cards are finished you can add a personal message on the inside by hand or print off a cute message on your computer.
