Make Your Bathroom Smell Fresh & Clean

Even when it Isn't!

The dreaded bathroom...you clean it once a week, but it never seems to stay that way. There is always some debilitating smell reaching out from underneath the door that you just can't get rid of and it seems like it gets stronger when unexpected company shows up. What can you possibly do to make your bathroom smell fresh and clean all the time? There are so many things! Below is just a small list of suggestions that are guaranteed to make your bathroom smell good in no time!

Vinegar ~ Place a cup or a bowl full of vinegar inside the shower and close the curtain. Vinegar absorbs odors and will leave your bathroom smelling fresh in no time! By hiding it inside the shower, no one will even know it is there!

Fabric Freshener ~ Spray your shower curtain and decorative towels with fabric freshener and your whole bathroom will smell like spring flowers (or whatever scent you like)!

Candles ~ You don't even have to light them, just place several scented candles on the back of the toilet, on shelves or next to the sink and keep the bathroom door closed when you aren't using it. I think floral scents are always the best to choose, but it's really up to you, any scented candles will world. Read more about scented candles in my previous article Make Your Home Smell like a Candle Store.

Real Flowers ~ Place a vase of strongly aromatic flowers on the sink or the back of the toilet, the whole bathroom will smell beautiful within minutes! Just remember to change the flowers each week, do it the same day you clean, so you won't forget!

Potpourri ~ Place scented potpourri in baskets around the room. You will be able to smell the potpourri every time you walk in. Plus the added bonus of each time someone showers, the steam will rejuvenate the potpourri, so the scent will last for weeks, without having to change it!

Perfume ~ Put your perfume on in the bathroom. If you do that every day, your bathroom will smell just like your favorite cologne!

Making your bathroom smell good doesn't have to cost a lot of money! Each of the tips above will not only make your bathroom smell great, several of them won't cost you a penny! Good Luck choosing scents and may you always have a fresh smelling bathroom!

I found that Air Wick scented oils work really well in the bathroom too...but I usually use candles, because they are cheaper! great article :)
