When we think of tulips we think of spring. This idea will bring spring inside of your home by bringing the tulips inside. You could use the fresh cut tulips right out of your own garden for this centerpiece or you could get some fresh tulips from the store. Either way the vibrant colored tulips will bring in the sense of spring and really get you in the mood for beautiful, sunny weather. Here is how to create your own spring tulip bucket.

ITEMS YOU WILL NEED:

First you will need a stainless steel bucket. It should simply be a silver bucket. The silver color of the bucket really lets the bright colors of the tulips stand out. Next, you will a variety of brightly colored, yellow, purple, pink and any other colored tulips that you can find. The more colors the better to bring the spring into your kitchen or home. You should also use the green tulip leaves for this beautiful display.

MAKE YOUR SPRING TULIP CENTERPIECE:

To start making your tulip centerpiece, you will need to make sure that all of the tulips are cut to the same height. Make sure that they will stick up past the bucket about 4 or 5 inches. First fill the stainless steel bucket up a couple of inches with water.

Next, fill around the outside with some of the green tulip leaves. Then start adding your colorful tulips to the bucket, be sure to continue adding the green leaves throughout the tulips. Since tulips have a thicker stem they will stand straight up really showing off the bucket and the contrast of the spring colors.

This centerpiece will be lovely in the center of your dining room table. You could use this centerpiece for a budget friendly wedding reception centerpiece as well. It would be beautiful with some baby's breath added in to give it a more elegant touch for a wedding.
