If you want to hang up the decorations you will need to purchase some type of string which you can tie around the pine cone to hang it up once it has dried. You will want to let the decorations dry for a long time before you place them anywhere in your house. You don't want to blue the pine cone to the table or anything. I would flip the pine cone on it's side and then let it dry for at least two days. You can also hook up a fan next to the pine cones to help them dry out faster.
You will want to take each pinecone and shake it out really well. Blow inside the pine cone to make sure that there aren't any bugs or unwanted items inside of your pine cones. Shake them out well to make sure that nothing will get covered in glitter and then fall on your floor. You will then want to place the pine cone on it's end and place elmers glue on the pine cone. You can place the glue right on all of the ridges or you can completely cover the pine cone in glue.
You can purchase glitter in red and green to give your home a Christmas look. You can also use white glitter to make the pine cones looks as if they have been outside and got covered in snow. You can choose to hang up the pine cones or you can place them on your Christmas tree. You can purchase string to tie around the pine cones. If you don't want to be able to see the string you can use fishing line to hang up the pine cones. This craft is an excellent choice because the only thing you need is some glue and some glitter. It's an excellent way to decorate your home and get into the Christmas spirit as well. You can make these with your kids but remember, they can be very messy!
