HOLIDAY BOWL: First you will need to find a holiday bowl. It could have a holiday design on it or it could be red or green or the color of your holiday table. Make it festive. You will also need to get a piece of styrofoam that will fit into the bottom of your holiday bowl. The bowl can be as small or as large as you would like, depending on how much candy you want to serve with it.
HOLIDAY DECOR OF YOUR CHOICE: You will then need to pick a holiday decor item to fill your bowl with. It could be red and green Christmas bulbs or gold and silver, or you could simply use pine cones and pine garland to fill the bowl with. You could even simply fill the bowl with Christmas lights if you would like, just be careful that it doesn't get too hot if you choose this choice. Use your creativity and make it fun and festive looking.
HOLIDAY CANDY OF YOUR CHOICE: Then you will need to choose some holiday candies that can be easily placed on skewers. Cherry chocolate kisses or chocolate covered cherries or strawberries could be used. You could also use chocolate covered marshmallows or star chocolates. Whatever type of Christmas candy your family likes will be the best to use. Think about peppermint choices too, like soft peppermint candies. The choices are endless and up to you.
PUT TOGETHER THE CHRISTMAS EDIBLE CENTERPIECE: Once you have the items to make your centerpiece, put it together. Do not put the chocolate out until it is time to display the centerpiece or they may melt and make a mess. First, glue your styrofoam into the bottom of your bowl. Next, cover the styrofoam with your decor, like your Christmas bulbs. Just fill the bowl to the top with the decor. Now you can place the chocolate and Christmas candy on the skewers and start placing the skewers into the styrofoam. Once you have the bowl filled with skewers of candy you will have your festive, edible Christmas centerpiece finished.
