One of the most important elements of this centerpiece is decorated Easter eggs. This is because Easter eggs are so much fun, and they really are all about Easter. Kids love to make Easter eggs, so you will certainly have some Easter eggs on hand for this project. If you don't have any Easter eggs, consider making some, because they are so very easy to do. If you don't want to, or don't have time to make Easter eggs, then consider alternating between white and brown eggs to make the centerpiece look attractive and very natural.
Kids can even make these centerpieces with some direction from adults. This can be a fun family project to help decorate the family Easter dinner table. Kids will especially like the Easter bunny centerpiece. Older children may like the floral Easter centerpiece more. Every child is different.
There are several variations on this centerpiece, they are listed here. Perhaps these centerpieces will even inspire you to come up with another idea.
For this craft you will need:
Please note, the items vary depending on which centerpiece you make. Please read the directions for each centerpiece to help choose your craft supplies.
A large Easter basket without a handle
decorated Easter eggs, at least six
Easter grass
chocolate Easter bunny
a small potted flower plant
2 inch thick satin ribbon in a pastel shade, to tie around the basket in a bow.
To make the Easter bunny centerpiece:
Fill the Easter basket with Easter grass. Then put the Easter eggs in a circle, with eggs pointing end to end at each other. In the middle place the chocolate Easter bunny. Tie the satin ribbon around the Easter basket and make a large bow.
To make the flower Easter centerpiece:
Fill the Easter basket with Easter grass. Make a hole in the center of the grass and place the small potted flowering plant. Then surround the potted plant with decorated Easter eggs. Line the Easter eggs so that they are end to end.
Have a very Happy Easter with your family!
